Thomas Point Beach Paddling Center

Our New Meadows River Location has Changed (after 20 years)!!

Our New Meadows River location is now Thomas Point Beach (29 Meadow Rd. Brunswick)!! We have canoes, kayaks and paddleboards on site and ready for you to walk or drive up and begin paddling. Remember to check with us for the best times, due to the daily tidal variations. Feel free to reserve a campsite and stay longer to explore the beautiful local waters. We also can bring boats to the public boat launch (Sawyer Park) in Brunswick/ right beside the New Meadows Marina if you prefer. This is a great way to explore the protected waters of the New Meadows River. Located 12 miles upriver from Sebasco Harbor and Casco Bay, it’s the perfect place for paddlers of all ages and experience levels to enjoy a relaxing paddle to nearby islands.

There are both bald eagle and osprey nests along the banks, attesting to the great striper fishing, too.

Many of our Maine Island Trail and Inn-to Inn multi-day expeditions begin here as well, heading out to open ocean from Sebasco Harbor. Along the way, you’ll see lobstering communities such as Cundy’s Harbor, historic Malaga Island and enjoy world-class bird watching.

The Seaspray staff will assist you with local knowledge, tides, weather updates, camping locations, safety tips, trip planning, equipment, make sure you are outfitted with all the appropriate gear. We’ll even help you pack and unpack!

Overnight parking can be arranged.

We offer lodging at the New Meadows Cottages, camping at Thomas Point Beach or Hermit Island; a fully stocked kayak shop in Brunswick, Maine; daily instruction, professional Maine Guide Service and over 100 sea kayaks, fishing kayaks, recreational kayaks, sit-on-tops, stand up paddleboards and canoes to choose from.
